Piedmont Valley Library Director Position is Available

The Piedmont Valley Library has an opening for a library director.
 
Duties include supervising the staff, maintaining the collection, offering programs and services to the public, preparing the annual budget, ordering new items and library supplies, compiling statistics and preparing reports, attending City Council, Library Board and Consortium meetings and other duties. A detailed job description is available at the library’s website.
 
Applicants must either have a Masters in Library Science, the SD State Library’s 4-year Institute program, Western Dakota Tech program or equivalent, or must complete required education within a specified time period.  More details are available upon request.
 
Salary offered is $16 per hour, depending on experience, for up to 30 hours per week.  Some evening and weekend hours are required. No benefits are offered at this time.
