LIBRARY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT!
THE LIBRARY IS GETTING AN UPGRADE! WE NEED LOTS OF HELPERS AND DONATIONS!
We will be installing new shelving and new carpet in the very near future. We need lots of volunteers to help remove books, dismantle the existing shelves, tear up the old carpet, lay the new carpet, assemble the new shelves and put the books back!! We also will need folks with trucks to help haul the new shelves from another local library. If you can help, even for just an hour, PLEASE call or email the library and leave your name and phone number. Many hands will make it an easy job!
The Friends of the Piedmont Valley Library would appreciate ANY monetary donations toward the carpet purchase. We received a nice discount from FLOORING AMERICA but the purchase has put a big dent in the Friends' account balance, which is normally used for the Summer Reading Program and to purchase new books and movies for the library. Your donation is tax deductible and greatly appreciated!
OUR FIRST WORK DAY IS SCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 8 AT 1:00 PM. WE'LL BE TEARING UP THE CARPET AT THE FRONT OF THE LIBRARY AND LAYING THE NEW. HELPERS ARE WELCOME!
